Deadline is stating that Alan Ball (creator of True Blood and Six Feet Under) has been given a 10-episode sequence for a new array by HBO’s sister network Cinemax.
Entitled Banshee, this new action-drama described as Walking Tall meets History of Violence, executive constructed by Ball, centers around an “ex-convict and master burglar who assumes a temperament of a policeman of Banshee, PA, where he continues his rapist activities even as he’s being wanted by a murky gangsters he had tricked years earlier.”
